Legacy Ridge is 30 minutes east of Sherman on US 82 on the east side of Bonham.

The golf course is a combination wide open, links style and parkland design along broad fairways bordered by stands of old growth hardwoods and the lakes and wetlands of Bois d’ Arc Creek. It journeys through former farmland and forestland along natural corridors over level terrain with water as the dominant feature and sand traps primarily guarding the greens. It's a Bill Johnson design and plays to 6,750 from the tips, 72.1/127, course/slope ratings and 6,359 yards from the blues, 71.1/124 with four shorter tees.
