The Links is 35 miles west of Springfield off I-72 to the north in Jacksonville.

The course travels over a large, open tract of former farmland adjoining Nichols Park and the Mauvaise Terre Lake to the south. The broad fairways are framed by stands of trees with multiple ponds/wetlands in play in addition to a generous amount of sand bunkers defending the fairways and greens. The course will play to 6,495 yards, 72.1/122, course/slope ratings off the tips with four shorter tees, designed by David Gill.
