London Downs is 20 minutes west of Lynchburg in Forest just off US 460 wandering through a residential community.

The golf course is a parkland design over rolling hills along tree lined fairways in an overall scenic setting with views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. There's several ponds in play featuring an island green, numerous slight and dramatic doglegs, and a generous amount of sand along the fairways and greenside. It was designed by Russell Breeden in the early 1990s and plays to 6,380 yards from the white tees, 71.1/134, course/slope ratings with one longer and two shorter tee boxes.
