The Madison Golf Club is on the west side of Madison on the north shore of Lake Herman near Prairie Village.

The golf course is a shot maker's paradise where accuracy is rewarded both off the tee and on approach to the greens. There's a number of water features including ponds, wetlands, and streams from the Lake, a mix of narrow and relatively open, tree lined fairways, and a sparing use of sand bunkering. It's rather short at 6,189 yards from the tips, a par of 71, 68.8/122, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Joel Goldstrand.
