Maple Ridge is on the northeast side of Columbus off the JR Allen Parkway at Schomburg to the north.

The golf course is a target, parkland-style layout along rolling, tree-lined fairways through a residential development with the homesites blocked by the trees for the most part. There are streams and ponds potentially in play on over half the holes and sand bunkers positioned at the landing zones and greens providing an exercise in course management overall. There are 6 sets of tees, the tips play to 6,617 yards, 71.2/135, course/slope ratings, designed by Larry Mize/Craig Schreiner in the early 1990s.
