Mars Hill CC is 20 minutes southeast of Presque Ise on the east side of Mars Hill near the Canadian border surrounded by forests and farmlands just north of the Bigrock ski area.

The golf course is a scenic and hilly, parkland layout with varying degrees of elevation change, especially the signature #6 which drops 160 feet from tee to green. The blend of narrow and broad, fairways are defined by old growth, hardwood trees along numerous doglegs with Boynton Brook meandering through the middle. It's not long at only 6,043 yards from the back tees, 69.0/123, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Alton McQuade.
