The Martindale Country Club is just off the Maine Turnpike Exit 75 at Auburn, furrowed through the forest on the south side of the Little Androscoggin River.

The layout is classic Maine, traversing narrow, tree-lined, and hilly fairways with views of Mount Washington on the front nine. The fairways are bordered by tall fescue, trees, and rock outcroppings, leading to elevated greens well-defended by sand bunkers. The Little Androscoggin River borders the length of the 12th, a 603-yard three-shotter, and the #1 handicap hole. The front nine was designed by Alex & Fred Chisholm in the early 1920s, and the back nine by Philip Wogan in the mid-1960s. There are four sets of tees from 4,793 yards to 6,538 yards at the tips, with 71.7/131 course/slope ratings.
