Marywood is 5 miles north of downtown Battle Creek on 6 mile Road just north of Saint Marys Lake.

The golf course has a classic layout favored in the Battle Creek area. The fairways are tree-lined and rolling as they journey along broad and narrow corridors. Several ponds are in play, and sand bunkers defend the fairway landing zones and modest, raised greens. It was designed in the 1920s by Maurice McCarthy. From the tips, it plays to 6,631 yards, 73.0/132, course/slope ratings, with two shorter tees.
