Meadowbrook at Clayton

Meadowbrook is a municipal golf course located south of I-70 on the north side of Dayton off exit 26/Salem Avenue to the south.

The golf course is a classic 1920s parkland layout winding along tree-lined, rolling fairways bordering natural corridors with numerous ponds and creeks in play and a generous amount of sand traps generally defending the small, raised greens and the occasional fairway. There are four sets of tees, with the tips playing to 6,663 yards, 72.9/133 course/slope ratings. The golf course was designed by Nipper Campbell, a Scot who, as the golf pro at Brookline in Boston, urged his 20-year-old caddie Francis Ouimet to enter the 1913 U.S. Open held at The Country Club, the eventual winner.
