Meadowbrook is a municipal golf course located south of I-70 on the north side of Dayton off exit 26/Salem Avenue to the south.
The golf course is a classic, 1920's parkland layout winding along tree lined, rolling fairways bordering natural corridors with numerous ponds and creeks in play and a generous amount of sand traps generally defending the small, raised greens and the occasional fairway. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,663 yards, 72.9/133, course/slope ratings. The golf course was designed by Nipper Campbell, a Scot who as the golf pro at Brookline in Boston urged his 20-year-old caddie Francis Ouimet to enter the 1913 U.S. Open held at The Country Club, the eventual winner.
