The Mesaba Country Club is on the south side of Hibbing off 1st Avenue.

The golf course is a classic, parkland layout winding along aspen, birch, and white pine tree lined fairways over rolling contours. There's a dreaded stream running from north to south through the middle and several ponds impacting play along with a moderate use of sand bunkers. The original nine has been around since the 1920s designed by H.S. Reed with Holm & Olsen with Architectural Resources adding the second nine in the 1970s. It can play to 6,792 yards from the tips, 72.7/126 course and slope ratings with four shorter tees.
