Miami Shores CC is 20 minutes north of downtown Miami, on the west side of Biscayne Blvd, in Miami Shores, sandwiched between residential communities.

The golf course is a classic, South Florida layout over level terrain. It has native trees along the landscaped fairways and approaches, a moderate amount of sand bunkers, and the Biscayne Canal coming into play on the northeast third of the layout. It can play to 6,705 yards from the tips, a par of 71, 71.2/131, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, and was designed by Red Lawrence in the late 1930s.
