Mission Mountain is located 15 miles south of Flathead Lake off US 93 to the west on a large tract of land with natural borders and homes along a few holes.

The golf course is a parkland layout with scattered trees along the fairways, sand bunkers primarily guarding the greens, and Mud Creek and a small lake in play on several holes in a scenic setting with views of the surrounding Mission Mountains. It plays to 6,706 yards from the championship tees, 70.9/121, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Gary Roger Baird in 1988.
