The golf course is in the Montgomery Bell State Park about 30 minutes west of Nashville off I-40 at exit 182.

The course's setting provides for an interesting and isolated layout as the fairways are carved through the forest with sand bunkers at the landing zones and guarding the greens which are tucked into coves surrounded by trees. It plays to 6,311 yards from the championship tees, par 71, 69.3/121, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, redesigned by Gary Roger Baird in 1988.
