The Moundsville Country Club is 25 minutes south of Wheeling on the south side of Moundsville on a bend in the Ohio River.

The golf course is a classic parkland layout over level, Ohio River bottom land along fairways well defined by rows of mature hardwoods with two holes directly on the River. It's generally straightforward, with several modest doglegs as the confining fairway corridors lead to meager greens secured by sand bunkers. It's a shotmaker's layout playing to 6,341 yards, 71.1/132 course/slope ratings off the Blue tees with three shorter tees.
