Mt. Washington is a classic, four season resort hotel in Northern New Hampshire with 27 holes situated in a stunning setting in the Presidential Mountain Range with Mt Washington in the background.
The original Mount Pleasant Course is a 9 hole parkland layout from the late 1800s along the Ammonoosuc River. The golf course plays to a par of 35 at 3,215 yards from the tips, 34.3/124, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees. The course has been touched along the way by a variety of architects including Alex Findlay, Gene Sarazen, Ken Venturi, and more recently Brian Silva to finally restore the course to its original design.
The 18 hole Championship Course is a wide open layout along broad fairways bordered by scattered trees with several streams in play, but an abundance of sand bunkers defending the fairways and modest greens. It is a par of 71, 7,004 yards, 73.7/124, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, an original Donald Ross design from 1915 with a faithful restoration by Brian Silva in 2008.
