Mountain Branch is 30 minutes north of downtown Baltimore off I-95 at exit 74 to the north surrounded by old growth forests.

The golf course lumbers through a scenic setting along tree lined fairways over rolling hills without homes or development lining the holes. There's an interesting mix of holes with short par 3s, drivable par 4s, and par 5s which may be reachable in two depending on the tee box selected. It features numerous water hazards and a variety of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers along the fairways and greens. The course plays to 7,038 from the tips, the white tees are 6,146 yards, 70.5/127, course/slope ratings, designed by Jeff Matthai and Davis Sezna.
