Oak Harbor is 15 minutes west of Port Clinton along a peninsula of the Portage River.

The layout is a straightforward, parkland design over level land with the River and several small streams and wetlands impacting play, a minimum of sand traps, and small, oval greens. There's four sets of tees from 4,960 yards to 6,493 yards at the tips, 71.7/121, course/slope ratings, designed by Mel Hoover.
