Oak Harbor is 10 minutes north of Baudett on the south side of Lake of the Woods, the Walleye Capital of the World, and near Zippel Bay State Park and Beltrami Island State Forest.

The layout is a combination links and parkland design built in two stages. It wanders over relatively flat land along the Rainy River with water in the form of streams and ponds the dominant feature in addition to a 73-foot, walleye shaped sand bunker!
