The name Ocean Edge is a bit of a misnomer as the course is set back considerably from the Atlantic and Cape Cod Bay. The layout is a challenging parkland design along tree-lined, rolling terrain with narrow fairways and approaches along unique, isolated fairways. There are several slight doglegs and water hazards, and sand traps positioned liberally along the landing zones and guarding the greens. There are five sets of tees from 4,886 yards to 7,011 yards from the tips; the white tees are 6,093 yards, with 69.4/127 course/slope ratings. The course was originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish and Brian Silva, but was recently redesigned by Jack Nicklaus.
