Pagosa Springs is within a residential development located 1 1/2 hours east of Durango in Pagosa Springs in the middle of the San Juan Mountains.

The course has three nine-hole layouts, the Ponderosa, Piñon, and Meadows journeying through Ponderosa Pine tree-lined fairways along ponds and streams. The Piñon/Ponderosa is the combination with the best elevation change and plays to 6,677 yards, 69.5/115, course/slope ratings. Piñon/Meadows is 7,228 yards, 72.6/123, course/slope, and the longer and the most challenging of all the combinations with all of the water hazards. Meadows/Ponderosa plays to 70.1/120, course/slope at 6,913 yards from the tips, all with three shorter tees, designed by Johnny Bulla, a touring pro from the 1940s.
