Painted Dunes Desert Golf Course is a 27 hole layout located on the northwest outskirts of El Paso.

The course is over mounded desert terrain with soft fairways, an abundance of sand bunkers, several water hazards, and undulating greens. The routing was cut out of the Chihuahuan Desert at the foothills of the Franklin Mountains in an overall picturesque setting. There's four sets of tees overall, from the white tees, the East/West plays to 6,148 yards, 69.4/124, course/slope ratings; the North/West, 6,079 yards, 68.7/124; East/North, 6,033 yards, 68.5/120, designed by architects Ken Dye and Jeffrey Brauer
