Palouse Ridge is Washington State University's home course and located on the northeast side of campus near the airport.

The golf course is routed over and around the hills and dales in the Palouse on a massive 315 acre tract of land with only 100 acres of irrigated turf. Elevated tees provides views of miles of wheat fields, farms, and ranches of the vast area. 800,000 cubic yards of dirt was disturbed to create the course and it shows as it feels somewhat unnatural at times conflicting with the natural lay of the land. It can be visually intimidating with fescue lined small, landing zones and slight greens built on plateaus with sand bunkers scattered about the fairways and greens. The course measures 7,308 from the tips, 75.9/140, course/slope with four shorter tees, and was designed by John Harbottle.
