Pelican Beach Golf Course is a 9 hole layout located just outside Hyannis 40 minutes west of Mullen in western Nebraska's sandhill region. Once you travel the 60 miles north of Lake McConaughy through the Sandhills to the golf course, you'll find what seems like one of the more remote and isolated settings on earth for a golf course. The course was designed by the locals who first built 3 holes then added the balance later in a true community effort. While it's an odd name for a golf course, it was so named by the number of pelicans around the course from nearby Lake Beem.

The routing is on the south side of the Lake in complete solitude. It's a links style design carved through the dunes along the broad, undulating fairways bordered by tall prairie grasses leading to modest greens protected by sand bunkers. It plays to 2,600 yards from the men's tees, 38.1/120 course and slope ratings.
