Pine Forest is a municipal golf course located 30 miles east of Austin in the Lost Pines area on the north side of the Colorado River.

The layout is over rolling hills through a real estate development, but the homes don't infringe on the golf course. The course is a parkland layout winding along tree lined fairways with numerous holes bordering the Colorado River and several ponds in play. The course was designed by Don January and Billy Martindale in 1979 and from the tips is 6,569 yards, 71.8/132, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
