Pine Mountain Lake is midway between Yosemite and Stockton off CA 120 to the north in Groveland.

The golf course is a hilly, parkland design through a pine and oak tree forest with scenic views over to Yosemite. It's a shot maker's layout with numerous doglegs and water hazards and sand traps primarily guarding the modest greens. The golf course was designed by Billy Bell with four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,382 yards, 70.0/126, course/slope ratings and a par of 70.
