Pinecrest is off the beaten track at the Lumberton exit off I-95.
The golf course has a traditional layout that weaves along narrow, pine tree-lined fairways with a sparing use of sand bunkers that mostly defend the modest turtleback greens. Pinecrest's architects are rumored to be Donald Ross and Dick Wilson, and while it does possess characteristics of their designs, their involvement is unsubstantiated. The course plays to 6,578 yards, 71.3/128, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, renovation by Richard Mandell.
