Pittsburgh National is out in the country an hour northeast of Pittsburgh off the PA Turnpike at exit 39 then north and east of Bakerstown.

The layout is partially bordering a residential development with homes along a few holes while the balance are isolated and unique bordered by hardwoods and natural areas over rolling hills. There's a liberal use of sand bunkers, both along the fairways and surrounding the greens and several water hazards in play.
