Pohlcat is located on the east side of Mt. Pleasant off Pickard Road just east of US 127.

The course is a challenging yet playable layout wandering along and over the Chippewa River and numerous ponds with a blend of links and parkland style elements and a moderate amount of sand bunkers in play. The course was designed by Dan Pohl, a former PGA Tour player from Michigan, and plays to 6,954 yards from the back tees, 74.2/140, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
