The Prairie Dog Golf Club is on the south side of Norton surrounded by farmland, fields, and Prairie Dog Creek.

The golf course is a 9 hole, parkland layout traversing broad, tree lined fairways over slightly undulating terrain. The layout features a series of slight and dramatic doglegs leading to generally ample, oval greens. The golf course was designed by Frank Hummel in the late 1960s and for 18 holes will play to 6,475 yards from the tips, 71.5/116, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees.
