The Prairie du Chien CC is on the southeast side of town on US 18 north of the Wisconsin River.

The golf course is a straightforward and playable, parkland layout with the fairways defined by tree lined corridors over slightly undulating terrain. There's two water hazards in play and sand traps defending the greens as the primary hazards. It's only 6,197 yards from the tips, 70.6/122 course and slope ratings with two shorter tees, a 1950s vintage layout with redesign work by Gilmore and Graves.
