Purple Sage is a municipal golf course owned and operated by the city located off exit 3 of I-80 on the northwest side of town at an elevation of 7,000 feet.

The golf course is a links style design exposed to the afternoon winds journeying over slightly rolling terrain along fairways loosely defined by scattered trees and bordered by tall fescue grasses. There a few holes with water hazards in play and an inventive use of shapes and sizes of sand bunkers along the landing zones and defending the greens. The course plays from 4,953 to 7,024 yards, the whites are at 6,231 yards, 67.3/112, course/slope ratings.
