Quail Dunes is just off I-76 between Denver and the Nebraska border in Fort Morgan at the Rt 52 exit on the north side of the South Platte River.

The golf course is a parkland layout over undulating terrain and generally open off the tee with with views of the River and the distant Rockies throughout. It's an Audubon certified Wildlife Sanctuary with natural areas bordering the fairways in addition to several ponds. It's very straightforward with the fairways defined by trees leading to the ample greens. There's five sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,625 yards, 70.9/123, course/slope ratings. The original nine holes were designed by Henry Hughes in the 1920s with a new nine added and the course renovated by Frank Hummel in the early 1960s.
