Quail Run is on the southeast side of Columbus, just north of the Loup River.

It's a parkland-style layout roaming along broad and confining cottonwood, tree-lined fairways over relatively level terrain. Multiple lakes and ponds are in play, and sand bunkers defend many of the generous greens. It was designed by Frank Hummel. The tees range from 5,147 yards to 7,024 yards, with the white tees playing to 6,057 yards, 70.2/122, course/slope ratings.
