Quail Run is on the southeast side of Columbus just north of the Loup River.

It's a parkland style layout roaming along broad and confining, cottonwood, tree lined fairways over relatively level terrain with multiple lakes and ponds in play and sand bunkers defending many of the generous greens. It was designed by Frank Hummel with tees from 5,147 yards to 7,024 yards with the white tees playing to 6,057 yards, 70.2/122, course/slope ratings.
