Raven Rock is a strip mine reclamation project in a scenic and remote setting surrounded by mountains in southeastern Kentucky near the Virginia border.

The golf course roams over a large tract of hilly terrain along broad fairways lined by tall prairie grasses and deep forest at the borders. There's multiple ponds and streams including an semi-island green with a sprinkling of sand bunkers at the landing zones and defending the greens. It's not all that long from the tips at 6,303 yards, 70.2/130, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Jack Fykes.
