The Vinoy Club is open to guests of the Renaissance in St. Pete and is located on Snell Isle, about 15 minutes from the hotel, within an upscale residential community.

The layout is in a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary and journeys along palm and oak tree, lined fairways featuring ponds, lakes, wetlands, or streams on most of the holes. There's an inventive use of sand bunkers with pot, conventional, and long waste areas complimenting the fairways and defending the contoured putting surfaces. There are four tee boxes to accommodate all levels of play, with the tips playing to 6,590 yards, 71.7/130, and course/slope ratings. The golf course is an original John Van Kleek design from the 1920s, updated by Ron Garl in 1992.
