River Pointe is southwest of Houston in Richmond trekking along forested land on the south side of the Brazos River.

The golf course is a parkland layout meandering along a large, level tract of land with trees defining the fairway corridors. Water is the dominant feature here and in play on most of the holes in addition to a generous amount of sand bunkers mostly around the greens and the occasional fairway. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to a par of 71 from 6,904 yards, 73.3/122, course/slope ratings, designed by Carlton Gipson.
