Riverview is 15 minutes west of Farmington in Kirtland, just off US 64 to the north.

The golf course has a scenic layout that is meandering over somewhat hilly topography above the San Juan River, with views over the La Plata Mountains and Shiprock Monument. The front nine is the original, traditional layout along tree-lined fairways over slightly rolling terrain, while the back side is wide open through the desert along unique and isolated holes in a setting providing endless views. There are five sets of tees overall, with the middle, white tees at 6,269 yards, 69.3/122, course/slope ratings, and the new nine designed by Baxter Spann.
