Riverwood is on the way to the Gulf about five miles west of Port Charlotte off US 41 within a residential development.

The front nine is more parkland style along tree lined fairways while the back is through the saltmarsh and wetlands with water features on every hole except the three closing holes. It was designed by Gene Bates and is 7,004 yards from the black tees, 74.8/139, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
