The Roanoke Country Club is on the south side of Williamston just off US 17/64 to the north.
The layout is over unusually, rolling topography for the coastal plain of North Carolina along fairways defined by stands of trees. There's an abundance of sand traps both at the landing zones off the tee and securing the greens in addition to Dog Branch and Black Swamp occupying the middle of the layout and its lower southwestern border. It will play to 6,313 yards, 70.2/125, course/slope ratings off the back tees with two shorter tees, designed by Gene Hamm.
