Rocky Gap is a mountain-style layout in Rocky Gap State Park in western Maryland at exit 50 off I-68 about 10 miles east of Cumberland in a remote Appalachian setting.

The front side is etched into the hills and forests and has a challenging layout over sloping fairways with narrow approaches to the well-defended greens and finishes on Lake Habeeb. The backside is mellow in comparison, as it's over a more moderate terrain of open meadows with a stream intersecting five holes. The course is difficult, especially from the 7,002-yard back tees, 74.2/145, course/slope ratings with 4 other sets of tee boxes, designed by Jack Nicklaus.
