Round Grove is 25 minutes from Charles City and less than 45 minutes from Mason City and the Waterloo/Cedar Falls areas on the north side of Greene, bordering the Shell Rock River.

The golf course is a nine-hole layout, reasonably open and straightforward, with a variety of challenges, including green-side bunkers, in-course OB along a dogleg, fairway tree lines, and a large pond interfering on two holes. It's 3,045 yards from the tips, with 34.8/112 course/slope ratings.
