Ruggles Ferry Golf Course is 20 minutes northeast of downtown Knoxville in Strawberry Plaines off Asheville Highway.

The golf course saunters over a large, hilly tract of land without homes or development along the holes. There's a mix of open and tree lined fairways with Rutherford Branch and a small lake coming into play on a few holes and a sprinkling of sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens. From the back tees the course plays to 7,081 yards, 72.8/132, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
