Running Deer is on the west side of Vineland off Garden Road literally etched through the forest.

The layout is characterized by narrow, tree lined fairways bordered by fescue with several water features and an abundance and variety of sand bunkers and waste areas littering the fairways and guarding the greens. It plays to 7,104 yards from the tips with a 129 slope, the middle tees are 6,410 yards, 70.6/122, course/slope, designed by Ed Carman in 2000.
