Sand Creek is on the southeast side of Idaho Falls, surrounded by farmland and fields with homes alongside a few holes.

The layout is a parkland design along broad fairways defined by evergreen trees. The namesake Sand Creek traverses the middle of the course and is in play all too frequently. Additionally, there's a pond in play, but fortunately, no sand bunkers! The course, designed by William F. Bell, measures 6,804 yards from the rear tees and has 68.4/113 course/slope ratings with two shorter tes.
