Sand Creek is on the southeast side of Idaho Falls surrounded by farmland and fields with homes alongside a few holes.

The layout is parkland design along broad fairways defined by evergreen trees with the namesake Sand Creek traversing the middle of the course and in play all too frequently. Additionally, there's a pond in play, but fortunately no sand bunkers! The course measures 6,804 yards from the rear tees, 68.4/113, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by William F. Bell.
