Shadowood is at the I-65/US 50 exit in Seymour, midway between Louisville and Indianapolis.

The golf course is a straightforward and playable parkland layout along parallel, old-growth, tree-lined fairways. Several streams and ponds are in play, and sand traps guard the sides of the small oval greens. There are three sets of tees, with the middle tees at 6,215 yards, 69.8/129, course/slope ratings.
