The Shangri-La Resort on Grand Lake at the tip of Monkey Island has three nine-hole layouts and an 18-hole par 3 in a picturesque setting on a peninsula of the Neosho River, which leads into Grand Lake O' the Cherokee.

The course is situated on land above the River, providing scenic views throughout the golf course. The layouts are all parkland-style designs over rolling, tree-lined fairways with various water features and sand traps defending the greens and the occasional fairway. Each layout has five sets of tees, the Champions plays to 3,384 yards from the tips, Heritage, 3,690 yards, Legends, 3,521 yards. The Heritage/Legends rotation plays to 74.9/135, course/slope ratings; Legends/Champions, 73.8/134; Champions/Heritage, 74.5/140, originally designed by Don Sechres with a Tom Clark refresh.

There's also the 18-hole Battlefield Par 3 layout, designed by Tom Clark, with a variety of distances from 110 yards to 245 yards on a hilly, 80-acre tract of land featuring creeks, waterfalls, and rock outcroppings.
