The Silver Bay Golf Course is a hidden gem, 9 hole layout located an hour north of Duluth in Silver Bay on the west shore of Lake Superior.

The course, built in 1959 by the Reserve Mining Company, is a parkland layout lumbering along hilly fairways lined by trees with the east branch of the Silver River bisecting the course along with numerous ponds. The golf course measures 3,173 from the back tees, 35.4/128, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, and was designed by W.S. Haley. It's a pleasant, natural setting for golf without homes or development along the course and includes a modest clubhouse and small driving range.
