Silver Lakes is located 11 miles southeast of Gadsden on US 431 marching over a large tract of forested, hilly land encompassing Lays and Lees Lakes in the Talladega National Forest 100 miles west of Atlanta. There are three nine-hole layouts and a 9 hole par 3 layout.

The golf course is over tumbling and rolling terrain along broad fairways lined with fescue and stands of old growth, hardwood trees. There are multiple water features in play including numerous holes along Lees Lake with fingered sand bunkers defending the fairways and generous green complexes. From the tips with four shorter the Backbreaker nine is at 3,808 yards, The Heartbreaker at 3,814, and the Mindbreaker at 3,642 yards.
