Silverhorn is 10 minutes from the San Antonio International Airport off 281 at Bitters to the west.

The golf course is a parkland layout scampering along unique and isolated, tree lined fairways with a large lake and numerous ponds and streams in play in addition to sand bunkers bordering either the landing areas or the greens. It was designed by Randy Heckenkemper along with PGA Tour Professionals Willie Wood and Scott Verplank and is 6,922 yards, 73.4/138, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
