Soldiers Field is on the south side of downtown Rochester off Broadway within view of the Mayo Clinic.

The course is a strategic layout winding along tree lined corridors over level terrain. There's numerous forced carries over the Zumbro River which slices through the northern third from east to west and well bunkered, modest greens. It's a par of 70 from the 5,769 yard tips, 64.2/114, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Hugh Vincent Freehan in the 1920s.
